Travelling is an important part of my life. I can't live without it and at least once a year I visit some interesting places to recharge and escape from the daily routine. This summer I flew to Peru, and it was the first time I visited this remarkable country.

It was love at first sight. I love Mexican culture very much and I found it very close the Peruvian one. The cuisine, national costumes and dance reminded me of the Mexican traditions. I mean, the core and esthetics is similar. No wonder, I felt strong liking for this country and would like to share my experience.

If you don't know where to go on vacation and are looking for vacation ideas, Peru is the great country to visit. Here you can travel back in time and see the ruins of the ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu. Set among the breathtaking mountains covered by lush forests, this fantastic place possesses incredible energy of a sanctuary. Consider taking a guided tour to this amazing destination to learn more about it. I was in awe of Machu Picchu and enjoyed sweeping vistas and stunningly beautiful scenery near it.

In fact, Peruvian culture is very diverse and unique. Their national costumes are so vibrant, and traditions are very beautiful. Peruvian courtship dance Marinera Nortena is a real show and incorporates many of their national customs. It's a pleasure to watch the dancers perform and every move has its symbolic meaning. It's like telling a whole story with body language and music.

I fell in love with Peruvian culture. I brought home some souvenir devoted to llamas. Also I brought local cheese and other national specialties as small gifts.

Even though I am back home I try to find Peruvian products here too. I discovered such stores as Peruvian Connection, Inka Expressions and Etsy that offer a wide range of products from Peru. From clothing and footwear to accessories, jewelry and more the range of Peruvian merchandise is quite good.

Of course, Peruvian souvenirs are worth buying too. Figurines, bags, kerchiefs and more will make the perfect gifts. Even here, in the U.S. you can find dresses made in Peruvian traditional style, with floral embroidery and vibrant colors.

But the best assortment of Peruvian handmade products is in Peru. And it's not very expensive to get there with Chase Ink credit card points. Before the trip I searched for deals on airfare at various Coupon sites, but it turned out that the best offer was with my Chase credit card. Just make sure you get the credit card prior the trip and then you can redeem your points for your next trip. For example, I earned 80 000 Chase Ink points after I've spent $3000 within 3 months. So, I used these points to buy a round trip to Peru.
